Dr. Jarama has more than 15 years of experience with applied research and urban service, having conducted research and program monitoring and evaluation in the areas of health, health promotion, mental health, HIV/AIDS, and positive youth development with diverse populations (i.e., general populations, adults, youth, elderly, and high-risk and school populations).
Dr. Jarama has been conducting health services research and examining the influence of behavioral, psychosocial and contextual determinants. She has extensive evaluation experience of health related programs including health care access, specific conditions (e.g., cancer), and health promotion for federal organizations, public and community agencies, and local health departments.Her experience also includes work with community and participatory programs doing project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
