Data-Based Decision-Making and Continuous Improvement:
This course is designed to engage participants in applying new tools and expertise to the challenges and opportunities faced by national, regional, and local government agencies and non-government organizations (NGOs) in improving policies, programs and performance. Participants learn proven methods and apply them to develop custom solutions for their specific agencies and projects. These include needs analysis, developing realistic objectives, implementing performance measures and data tools, and training other leaders and managers in data-based decision making. Finally, we look at implementing policies and procedures for assessing cost-benefits and adjusting policies, procedures and incentives based on results. This is a one-week course (mid-morning Monday to early afternoon Friday), offered the third week of each quarter (January, April, July, October).
